So, if you're eyeing the AquaTeak 15.5" Kai Corner Teak Shower Bench and wondering how it holds up in wet conditions, here's the scoop from our deep dive into the details.
The bench is made from 100% solid teak wood, which is known for being naturally water-resistant and pretty sturdy. According to the manufacturer's product description, this makes it a nice fit for places like showers or saunas where things can get pretty humid.
Plus, it's got a nifty shelf for extra storage if you need it.
On the flip side, while most folks give it a solid 4.7 out of 5 stars, there are a few things to keep in mind from our research. Some people have noticed issues like discoloration, mildew, and wood rot after a while. It seems there might be some differences in the quality of the teak used.
So, even though teak is generally tough, taking care of it with regular maintenance like oiling and cleaning will help keep it looking good and working well.
As for putting it together, it seems like the design gets a thumbs up for its sleek look and practicality, but there are mixed feelings about the assembly. You might run into vague instructions or even the odd missing piece, so it's worth double-checking everything when it arrives.
Bottom line, this bench is well-built, but you'll want to stay on top of maintenance to keep it in tip-top shape.
If you're up for a bit of upkeep, its classic design and the use of sustainable teak could make it a stylish and functional addition to your bathroom.
Just weighing up both the pros and cons should help you decide if it's the right fit for you.
